We never sell, rent or trade donor information. Here is exactly what we collect and why.

What we collect
When you give, write a note, or contact us, we collect the details you provide: your name, email, mailing address, phone (optional), gift amount and frequency, and any note or message. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

What we never do
We do not sell, rent, trade or share donor information with other organizations for their own marketing. We do not send mailings on behalf of other organizations.
Who helps us
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our work. They may only use your information to provide services to us:
- Stripe processes card payments. Card numbers go straight from your browser to Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores our records. Cloudflare Turnstile may run a quick, privacy-friendly check that you're a person when you send a form.
- Google Workspace and our email provider send receipts, tickets and replies.
- Klaviyo sends our newsletter and updates, only to people who gave, bought tickets or asked to hear from us. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- EasyPost prints shipping labels for hospital deliveries (hospital addresses only).
Cookies and analytics
We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We count page views without cookies, and we skip counting entirely if your browser sends "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control. Signing in to your account sets one secure cookie that keeps you signed in. Stripe sets its own cookies during payment to prevent fraud.
Event tickets and fundraiser pages
If you buy a sponsorship, we only list your name on the event page if you tick the box to be thanked by name. Fundraiser pages show your first name with your gift unless you choose to give anonymously.
How long we keep it
We keep gift and receipt records for at least seven years for tax and audit purposes. Contact-form messages and kit requests are kept as long as needed to help you, then archived. Ask us any time to delete what we're not required to keep.
Notes to children
Notes are read by our team before shipping. We remove last names, contact details and anything inappropriate. Notes are never linked to your contact details on the card.
Children's privacy
Kids are welcome to write notes, but children under 13 should have a parent, guardian or teacher send them for them, and online notes should be signed with a first name only. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond a first name in a note. Fundraiser organizers under 18 need a parent or guardian to approve their page. We never publish information about the children we serve without hospital and family permission.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message. To update or delete your information, contact us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Security
Our site uses encrypted connections. Access to donor records is limited to staff who need it.
